The website of Waadhoeke uses ReadSpeaker. With this software it is possible to have texts read aloud and to translate texts. There is a read-aloud button at the top of each text page.

Clicking on this will read aloud the text on the page. At the same time, the words and sentences read aloud are highlighted and the page scrolls automatically so that you can easily read along while listening.

Via settings, which can be reached by clicking on the left icon of the read aloud button, the reading speed and the colours for highlighting can be changed, among other things.

It is also possible to make a selection with the mouse and have it translated by clicking on the 'Vertalen' button that appears next to the selection. Select the text for the options to appear. Or watch this short video for instructions.

Automatic scrolling can also be turned off here and hotkeys can be operated. It is also possible to download an audio file so that the content of the webpage can also be listened to offline. This can also be done via the left icon of the read aloud button. The read button can be fully operated via the keyboard.
